Scholarships

At the American Anti-Cancer Institute we realize that many people choose conventional care simply because insurance will cover it. In other words, it’s their only option. What if that weren’t so? And what if you don’t have insurance?

While most alternative therapies are fairly inexpensive, there are times when they, too, are just not affordable. We firmly believe that more people would choose non-allopathic options if they had the money. After all, the success rates are far superior to surgery, chemotherapy and radiation and the quality of life is immeasurably better.

In verifiable and warranted cases, the AACI will accept applications for “scholarship funding” that will purchase anti-cancer foods, supplements, treatments, therapies and protocols. Travel costs in the form of airline, bus or train tickets may also be covered if necessary and qualified. In certain cases, alternative clinic fees may be considered for payment. Application is through this website and each case will be judged upon its qualifications, verification and/or emergency status. The AACI reserves the right to confirm all applications, fund or not fund as warranted, and to forward these requests to partner agencies that may agree to provide similar services depending on their requirements, capabilities and capacities.

Below are some scholarship sites that fund care as well as transportation. Please visit them and contact via email or telephone for additional information.

Cancer Coalition of America

The Cancer Coalition of America (CCA) is a nonprofit organization that provides grants to patients who can no longer afford the treatment that is helping them.

There is some news that can be as devastating as the diagnosis of cancer. This happens when patients who are responding to a treatment discover their insurance company will not pay or will no longer pay for that treatment. The threats to their psychological, physical, and financial well-being can be overwhelming.   READ MORE

Local fund-raisers are one way of raising money. However, organizing fund-raisers can be time-consuming. Also, the last thing patients and their families need at a time like this is one more thing to do. This is where the Cancer Coalition of America comes in.

How does the CCA differ from other organizations?

One of the foremost goals of the CCA is to fill a need that has not been addressed to date by any nonprofit cancer organization:

To ensure that when a patient is responding to a treatment—whether it be traditional, alternative, or experimental—funds are available if the patient no longer can afford to continue paying for that treatment.

How does the CCA work?

The CCA provides grants to patients for various aspects of care that health insurance does not cover. A special volunteer committee of professionals and lay persons provides guidelines for recipients.

Visionary Alternatives, Inc.

Since our inception 9 years ago we have grown and so has our vision. Every year, we receive calls from critically ill patients who are younger and younger. We are becoming increasingly aware that human illness is directly linked to the serious illness we are creating in the environment of our planet. Our original mission was simply to fund alternative treatments for the critically ill and to offer information about these options.   READ MORE

WE ARE EXPANDING OUR MISSION FOR TWO REASONS:

1. To increase our funding for the critically ill, we need to reach and educate a larger public. Some potential donors are apprehensive because they don't understand the roots of illness or why alternative therapies work. Education will increase our funding and our ability to help those that are in dire straits.

2. More and more seriously ill people contact us, thus the need for education about the root causes of illness are increasing, just as is the need for funding. We need to teach our children so they can become responsible for their own well-being and become better stewards of our earth. Only in this way can we stop the spiral of environmental degradation and human suffering.

Organizations with Volunteers to Fly to Help Others

For patient and medical transport: if you seek help moving a needy patient, please contact the groups in the listings that indicate they provide medical transport in your area.   READ MORE

National groups operate in most areas of the country. Regional groups usually serve in a multi-state area and often link up with others including national groups to handle flights out of their operating area. Each group can provide you their latest complete information on type of operations performed, equipment used, exact areas where they operate, and other useful facts.

NOTE: almost every medical transport group will fly or refer all kinds of patients, including children and veterans, within their service area. Do not hesitate to ask any group for help. If they have any restrictions they will tell you.
