You will find many websites dealing with “kid’s cancer.” Many share testimonies and try to raise money for “the cure.” Their hearts are in the right place – and, to that end, we wish them well. Meanwhile, what we know for a fact is that chemo, radiation, surgery and more drugs – do NOT heal cancer in most children. But we know what DOES work for most children and we want to share the facts of immune health with the world, so that our kids have the chance they deserve at life.
It’s very difficult, however, to pull parents out of conventional medicine. As adults, we've been culturally conditioned for decades that surgery, chemo and radiation are the only way. Tell that to the families of the 550,000 + people who die of cancer every year in the United States – over 1,550 EVERY DAY – including our children. You will discover that most of these families went with conventional treatment: had the surgery, the chemotherapy and/or the radiation treatments – sometimes, many times over, even though the five year cure-rate for these treatments is under 5%.
THAT, FRIENDS, IS WHY WE ARE DOING THIS.
We owe our cancerous children more than we are giving them – months or years of sickness and torture – then they die. It’s past time for a change in treatment. The American Anti-Cancer Institute, on behalf of the entire Campus of the American Anti-Cancer Center, is uniting and leading the Alternative Medicine community in eradicating cancer from the lives of adults and children willing to learn what it's all about. Right now in this country, medical laws are such that parents have no right to decide how they will treat their cancer-stricken child: they must undergo standard conventional care. Therefore, it is absolutely paramount that parents learn what to do and what not to do to cancer-proof themselves and their families before cancer becomes an issue. We dearly hope this Institute helps you do just that.

3 Yr. Old Kenny McKnight:
An Example of Parental Choice That Saved a Little One's Life
Little 3-year old Kenny McKnight’s parents brought him to Camelot from their home in rural Kansas. He had been diagnosed with glioblastoma [brain cancer]. The tumor had been surgically debulked but he had not had chemotherapy nor radiation as yet. Having seen the other children who had undergone the burning and poisoning, only to have their cancers return, his parents were not open to it.
Kenny was back in a stroller and diapers (at age 3), the brain tumor having taken its toll. He could no longer run and play with his brother, nor even toilet himself. Fortunately, he had a porta-cath recently installed by the surgeons who had debulked (removed most of) his brain tumor mass. This intravenous access had been placed by the mainstream hospital in expectation that Kenny’s parents would comply with the pediatrician’s demand that he submit to chemotherapy soon after the surgery.
But his parents failed to appear at the hospital at the appointed time with little Kenny, even though the doctor had ordered his chemo to start on that morning. Instead, they had traveled to Camelot Cancer Clinic in Tulsa, where treatment had begun with intravenous DMSO-based formula. Kenny tolerated it well and soon began to respond. After a few days, his mother returned to work in Kansas while his father stayed behind with him in Tulsa.
Several days into Kenny’s treatment, his mother called his father in a panic, saying Kenny’s pediatrician had notified child welfare authorities of the parent’s refusal to bring him in for chemotherapy. The social workers were accompanied by agents from the Kansas State Bureau of Investigation and they had a warrant for custody of the child.
Camelot’s administrator, Maureen Long, got the name of the pediatrician and her fax number and had the parents sign-off on a letter formally terminating her (pediatrician) from their child’s care. It was then faxed to the doctor being fired with a copy to the mother at the home address who, subsequently, handed it to the waiting officers of the Court. They all looked it over, made calls, and were advised that the parents had a right to fire the pediatrician from the case and choose alternative treatment for their child. The state officials were without authority to step in since, clearly, there was no neglect – the child WAS receiving treatment out of state.
Kenny’s treatment at Camelot continued and his little body responded. After two 20-day rounds of DMSO-based intravenous care (about six weeks), Kenny abandoned his stroller and began walking again and going to the bathroom by himself. He not only recovered his toilet training and his legs, he could talk again. The post-treatment PET scan showed that his residual brain tumor (the portion that the surgeons could not reach) HAD RESOLVED. Two years have now passed. Kenny is a normal, healthy little boy, ready to start kindergarten in the fall.

Parental Rights, Chemotherapy and Kids
Michael and Raphaele Horwin never imagined that trying to save their son's life might mean he'd be taken away from them. Two-year-old Alexander Horwin was diagnosed in 1998 with an aggressive form of malignant brain cancer called medullablastoma... Doctors recommended a "state-of-the-art" chemotherapy treatment... [which] could also damage Alexander's heart, lungs, liver and kidneys, and lead to loss of hearing, small stature, infertility, another cancer, intellectual decline and death... It wasn't until after Alexander died that the Horwins discovered that in addition to those horrors, various medical journals reported that it was also ineffective for young children.

Synopsis of a Life Cut Short
"...During the month of January 1998 [Shelly] complained a few times of seeing double. We took her to the pediatrician on Friday, February 6th, 1998. He sent her to an ophthalmologist and the ophthalmologist to University of Michigan Emergency Room. The CT done that night was read as negative, however, we were instructed to come back for an MRI as soon as possible. Remembering Ryan

13 Year Old Katie Fights Establishment For Her Life
The divide-and-conquer strategy of the Texas legal system would have worked with most kids of Katie Wernecke's age. But Katie isn't your typical 13-year-old. When the time came to inject her with high-dose chemotherapy, Katie said no. And when doctors tried to force her, she boldly and repeatedly resisted. Finally, they admitted they couldn't make her accept the treatment unless she cooperated. Our laws on the books today prevent parents from treating their children with alternative cancer treatments. One woman put her son in a Utah children's hospital for cancer. During his short stay, three children died as the result of their first chemo treatment (the deaths were not reported as due to chemo). Two other mothers became terrified that chemo would be given to their children and had to sue the hospital to get their children out.
What You Can Do
Obtain the Hospital admission paperwork as soon as possible and take it to a lawyer. There is usually a week or two between the decision to hospitalize and the actual hospitalization. Read More Here:

a Unique Resource Woven from Tragedy
In August 1998, two-year-old Alexander Horwin was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a highly malignant brain tumor. Surgeons removed the entire tumor and in October 1998, Alexander was administered what the Horwins were told was “state-of-the-art” chemotherapy (1). Three months after starting this 12-month protocol and while he was receiving the drugs, Alexander died of 30 tumors that spread throughout his brain and spine.
The Horwins wanted to understand why their son died while receiving what they were told was the best treatment available, a therapy that would certainly prolong Alexander’s life if not cure him. Michael Horwin, now an attorney and his wife Raphaele, now a forensic scientist, spent hundreds of hours in medical libraries. In the pages of the medical journals, they found one shocking revelation after another.
First, they discovered that none of the drugs administered to Alexander were FDA approved for children. (2) Next, they found out that none of the drugs were FDA approved for the treatment of brain tumors in any person (2).
In addition, they found out that one of the four drugs administered to Alexander (cyclophosphamide) was listed as a known human carcinogen and another (cisplatin) was listed as a probable human carcinogen(3) – they actually caused cancer.
And finally, and most shocking of all they discovered that the same four drugs had been administered to children the same age as Alexander with exactly the same brain tumor as Alexander and that the treatments had been an utter failure (4) causing one hospital to actually terminate the therapy(5). Chemo Causes Later Infertility in Boys
